Visa application at Siem Reap Airport in Cambodia

Arrived at Siem Reap Airport. According to the Japanese guidebook information (2024 edition), the process to apply for a visa at the airport was to fill out a paper and pay $30, but that was wrong. After arriving, I went to the arrival area and there were rows of desks with tablets, and there was no paper to fill out. It was electronic. It seemed that I could apply with a tablet, or I could apply from my mobile phone by connecting it to the wifi hanging next to it. It was easy because the tablet automatically inputs the data when I took a picture of my passport, so I didn't have to type it in. The information I entered on the tablet was my passport ID, which country I came from, what my purpose was, and I think it was the same as when I wrote it on paper. I was glad that I could change the language to Japanese. However, sometimes I didn't understand the meaning of the change, so I changed it to English and Japanese and checked it while entering it. Then I entered my email address, and something like a visa application permission letter was sent to me. A QR code appears on the last screen. I thought I would have to read it, but a strange screen just appeared, so I guess that's not the case. Should I have taken a picture? I'm not sure. But I never used that QR code after that, so I'm not sure what it was for at the end. I'm not good at English, so I was confused about how to enter the code, and before I knew it, there were only two of us. The staff member taught me, but he was pretty random and told me to just enter it quickly. After you finish entering the information on the tablet, there is a visa application counter nearby, so you go to counter number 1, hand over your passport and pay, and then pick up your passport from counter number 5 next to it. Then you go to the immigration counter, hand over your passport and Boeing ticket, have your fingerprints taken, and go through. That's it.
