Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan is located on the top of Doi Suthep and is one of the most important temples in Chiang Mai. Phra That Doi Suthep is 689 meters above the plain of Chiang Mai and 1,046 meters above sea level. There are two ways to go up to pay homage: walk up the seven-headed Naga stairs, which have 306 steps, or take the electric tram. For those who are not comfortable, there is also a service available. The price for going up and down is 20 baht per person (for Thais) and 50 baht per person (for foreigners).
