Chiang Mai - long history and tradition🇹🇭

It was founded in1296 and was the capital of the Lanna kingdom until 1558 when it fell to the Myanmar. In 1774 the Siamese king Taksin drove them out but it kept an independence from Bangkok until the 19th century. In 2021 there was a population of 1.78 millions in the city but it has still some cosy places. rent a bicycle or motorbike to get around. in the old town everything is in walking distance!
