A Surprisingly Unique Art Experience at Daejeon Creative Center

#cityplaybook During a recent visit to Eunhaeng-dong, after being once again astonished by the Seongsimdang bakery line, I decided to pop into the nearby Daejeon Creative Center (470 Daejong-ro, Jung-gu, Daejeon). Thankfully, it was a Sunday, so the center was open (they're closed on Mondays). I went in with no particular expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the distinctive and beautiful artwork on display. The first floor featured an exhibition by artist Lee Jae-seok, and I was immediately drawn in by peculiar sounds emanating from somewhere. It turned out to be coming from the second floor, and on that somewhat chilly day, the sounds added a slightly eerie, atmospheric touch. Upstairs, I encountered an installation by artist Lee Byung-chan, which was the source of the continuous, somewhat spooky sounds. There was also an interactive piece called "Wave" where visitors could participate, adding another layer of engagement. Overall, the works were unique and, at times, a bit challenging to interpret, which made for a really interesting viewing experience. If you find yourself in Daejeon and manage to snag your Seongsimdang strawberry cake faster than expected, I highly recommend a visit to the Daejeon Creative Center. It's a great spot to explore some truly creative and thought-provoking art, offering a nice contrast to the bustling bakery scene. #daejeon #relaxing
