Is there a place whose name alone captivates you? Jiagedaqi is perhaps one of the most unique places in China. In the Oroqen language, "Jiagedaqi" means "a place with Korean pines." The name is both romantic and poetic. This administrative center in the Greater Khingan Mountains has a rather unique geographical location, situated in the vast forests of the Oroqen Autonomous Banner in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, yet administratively under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang. Although small, Jiagedaqi is the largest city in the Greater Khingan Mountains. Its architectural style is unique, leaning towards European and Russian influences. The yellow walls and blue roofs stand out vividly in the white winter. Its wide streets, beautiful buildings, and picturesque environment have earned it the reputation of "Pearl of the Forest," "Emerging Forest City," and "First City of Wanli Xing'an."
