Visit Wat San Pu Loei Salee Wiang Kaew

Wat San Pu Loei Salee Wiang Kaew, originally named Wat Salee Wiang Kaew, is believed to have been established around 1780 AD. The temple was abandoned for a period but later underwent restoration and reconstruction. It was officially registered as a temple in Chiang Mai Province and recognized by the National Office of Buddhism on October 1, 1801 AD, under its new name, "Wat San Pu Loei Salee Wiang Kaew." The temple is located at 66, Moo 1, Ban San Pu Loei, San Pu Loei Subdistrict, Doi Saket District, Chiang Mai Province, and is affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect of Buddhism. The temple grounds cover an area of over 12 rai. Currently, the temple is home to the Phra Kruba Noi Khemapanyo Foundation, which provides care for orphans and underprivileged children, as well as engages in public welfare activities.
