Vacation by the Window | A Secluded Retreat in the Mountains of Heyuan

When choosing a place to stay, I prefer the tranquility of the mountains—a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. During the summer holidays, when most places are crowded, this secluded retreat nestled in the mountains of Heyuan is just perfect for me. Driving along the lush, winding mountain roads instantly brightened my mood. 🛌 Room I absolutely love the floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of endless greenery—perfect for unwinding. The room is spacious, and even our dog was thrilled, adding to the vacation vibe. ⛰️ Hot Springs There are various private hot springs of different sizes. We enjoyed the largest public pool, filled with fresh water, which was just right for the baby to swim in. 🏄‍♂️ Paddleboarding My first paddleboarding experience of the summer! Sitting and paddling is super easy, even for beginners. Listening to birds chirping while gliding across Wanlu Lake was incredibly soothing. 🏊‍♀️ Stream Trekking Near the retreat, there’s a small stream—perfect for kids to catch fish and shrimp for some fun. 🍽 Dining There are no restaurants nearby, so we dined at the retreat. The food was surprisingly good, and we finished every meal! We stayed for two days and noticed many families with young children.
