A Quiet Afternoon in Qingcheng’s Back Mountain

I visited the Back Mountain of Qingcheng in late May, when the weather was just right—cool, gentle, and full of the soft green light that filters through trees when spring begins to lean toward summer. Unlike the busier front side, the back mountain felt like a secret trail meant only for those who take the time to look for stillness. The weather in DuJiangYan is mostly gloomy, so a trip to Qingcheng may be a good idea if you want to take some nice photos, as the greens are so thick that they covered most of the sky. The air was fresh and quiet. Even in the afternoon, the mountain was cool enough that I didn’t feel tired walking. There’s a few routes to choose from, the shortest is a 3 hours and longest is 10hours. I posted pictures of 3 routes at the back. Tips: - I recommend downloading Baidu Map as you won’t be able to see any details of the routes on Google. - You can buy food and drinks in the town before you start climbing as they are better than those sold up in the mountain. - Cable car ends at 5pm and Bus ends at 6pm. After 6pm you will have to take local driver’s car to train station which cost around 30rmb per person. You can find them calling out loudly at the entrance. - Tourist station and some shops offer baggage storage for 10rmb. #sichuanattractions
