A European Dreamscape at the Foot of Mount Fuji

This place is absolutely perfect for photography! European-style gardens, rose corridors, bell tower paths... No matter where you take your shot, you'll capture dreamy and enchanting scenes. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, or else we could have taken the classic shot: the reflection of Mount Fuji on the lake alongside the museum's architecture. You can even rent European-style costumes and take photos in the garden, pretending to be Queen Marie Antoinette of France 😆. We were lucky to catch the French exhibition this time, featuring a miniature model of the Palace of Versailles—so ornate and exquisite. There were various antique music boxes, and I highly recommend joining the guided tour during the music box demonstration. The staff introduces the history of the music boxes and performs demos. My personal favorite was the birdcage music box; the bird sounds were so lifelike, it's hard to imagine how craftsmen over 100 years ago managed to create such intricate works by hand. The highlight of this visit was the performance of large antique automatic musical instruments, such as the self-playing grand piano paired with live opera singing. The combination of a machine over 100 years old and live opera was an unexpected treat, offering a high-quality performance right in the museum. Also, don't miss the automatic organ performance in the Organ Hall. Without relying on speakers, it produces incredibly loud music, evoking images of medieval nobles dancing gracefully in grand ballrooms 💃. Pro tip: Be sure to grab a performance schedule upon entry to plan your visit around the showtimes and make your trip even more enriching.
