Tasman Glacier & Lake Hike and Boat Tour

Tasman Lake, formed by the melting of New Zealand's largest glacier, the Tasman Glacier, is a must-visit classic route in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Here, you can get up close to the melting ice and witness the spectacular Tasman Glacier. This route is short and easy, only 650 meters long, and can be completed in about 20 minutes. Although there is a slight incline, it is still quite manageable. Upon reaching the glacial lake, you can take a boat tour from the dock to experience the solitude of the glacial world and take beautiful photos. Due to global warming, the Tasman Glacier has significantly retreated. Nowadays, hiking on the glacier itself may only be possible by taking a helicopter tour.
