The ice and snow canyon in southern Germany, a winter wonderland

Every winter, after heavy snow, the world is covered in ice and snow, and the usual scenery is endowed with a pure and noble aura, full of fairy-tale charm. Located in the Bavarian Alps, Partnachklamm (Partnach Gorge) is like a mysterious realm hidden in the world of ice and snow during this snowstorm. After crossing the frost to reach here, you will find that the canyon is even colder than the outside world, and the waterfalls have all frozen into ice columns and ice cones, as if you have entered a magical ice palace. This canyon is 702 meters long and 80 meters deep. It looks ordinary on weekdays, but in winter, the waterfalls are all frozen, instantly turning into a world of ice and snow. Walking into it, it is like being in a huge natural freezer, with temperatures as low as -10°C. Surprisingly, despite the extreme cold, many German parents still choose to take their children out of the house, over the mountains and to this canyon, not afraid of the cold, dragging their children, some even holding babies just a few months old, to let the children experience the rare sight of nature. But seeing such a small baby being carried out to visit this icy canyon, a friend who had just become a mother looked "dazed" and couldn't help but sigh that Germany is also a fighting nation, and a strong youth makes a strong country. In fact, according to geologists, the Partnach Valley is a prehistoric site, about 240 million years ago in the middle of the Triassic period, this canyon was located at the bottom of a shallow sea, as can be seen from the dark gray hard shell limestone layer in the canyon, the present-day Alps were once a vast ocean. The Partnach Gorge was developed in the 1910s and is only forced to close during the spring snowmelt period each year, and is open to the public at all other times. Faced with such a pure world of ice and snow, couples naturally become emotional, kissing intimately in the canyon, enjoying the endless romance brought by this scene, which is enviable. Due to the narrow roads in the canyon, a German uncle joked, "The road is narrow, please make way." This caused a burst of laughter. Germans who love outdoor hiking cannot stop their steps to enjoy the scenery even in heavy snow. Walking through the canyon, the snow on the ground is deep, and those German families, except for the babies who are only a few months old, the other children are also trudging through the snow like adults, and every child is very quiet, not crying or making trouble, which is incredible.
