Wandering around Guangzhou's "Dadongmen"

#Greater Bay Area Attractions Guangzhou's "Dadongmen" was the eastern gate of Guangzhou, China from the Song Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is also one of the eight city gates of Guangzhou's old city. It is located at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Yuexiu Road (under the Donghouyong Viaduct). Although the city gate has been demolished, there are still the following attractions nearby: 📍Dongping Pawnshop: Located at the junction of Zhongshan 4th Road and Yuexiu Middle Road, the Dongping Pawnshop Museum is located at the old Guangzhou Dadongmen. This Dongping Pawnshop is one of the few ancient pawnshop buildings that have survived from the prosperous pawn industry in Guangzhou from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. 📍Nongjiangsu: Also known as the "Former Site of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Training Institute", it was originally the "Panyu Academy" and was built in the third year of Ming Hongwu (1370). The ancient buildings with red walls, yellow tiles and brick and wood structures attracted many people to check in. 🚇Public transportation: Subway Line 1, Nongjiangso Station
