Happiness Farm is open!

My family and I spent a day at Happiness Farm in Guigang. It felt like we were immersed in nature and traditional culture. It was so relaxing! We arrived at the park early in the morning. As soon as we got out of the car, the fresh smell of soil filled our noses, and we were greeted by lush green fields. It was so refreshing. The park is only 2 km from the city center, so it's very convenient to get to. It's also very quiet. As soon as we entered, we felt like we were living in the pastoral life described in Tao Yuanming's poems. It was so leisurely. I still remember the farming experience in the morning. With the guidance of an agricultural technician, I picked up a hoe and started turning the soil and making ridges. I planted vegetable seedlings with my own hands. When my fingers touched the moist soil, I truly understood the meaning of the saying "every grain is hard-earned." The rice fields and fruit and vegetable areas in the base are clearly divided, and the labor education courses are scientifically arranged. They not only explain traditional farming tools but also demonstrate modern planting techniques, allowing us to feel the inheritance and innovation of farming civilization while working. The most surprising part was participating in the intangible cultural heritage tie-dye activity. We folded and tied white cotton cloth, then put it into natural dye. When we opened it, the beautiful patterns were like magic. I couldn't help but marvel at the wisdom of our ancestors. The afternoon was even more fun, filled with laughter everywhere. I rolled up my pants and went into the ecological fish pond to catch fish, splashing water everywhere. It felt like I was back in my childhood, having so much fun. There were also baked sweet potatoes in an earthen kiln. From building the kiln and lighting the fire to finally eating the fragrant sweet potatoes, every step reminded me of the happy times of my childhood. I am truly grateful for the gifts of nature. Later, I took a stroll through the agricultural science corridor, where there was a wall of knowledge about the 24 solar terms and interactive installations that clearly explained the farming philosophy of "harmony between humans and nature." There was also a labor knowledge quiz, and everyone was having a great time, learning a lot in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. As the sun was setting, I visited the art gallery in the park, where students' tie-dye works and labor photography were on display. The works were colorful, and the smiles in the photos were so bright. Isn't this the best representation of "happiness"? After a day, my body was relaxed, and my mind felt like it had returned to its purest state. In the process of sowing and harvesting, I felt the true warmth of labor and redefined what "happiness" really is. It turns out that happiness is not far away; it is in every inch of land we create with our own hands.
