Baisha Lake: Half stretches of white sand, half clear lake water, the lake reflects the sky and clouds, in the distance is the majestic Muztagata Peak, and beside the shore is the elegant and clear silver sand mountain, as clear as a mirror, both illusory and real. Baisha Lake is a high-altitude lake, surrounded by mountains on three sides, its water mainly comes from melting ice and snow, and it is the source of the Gez River. It is located in Akto County, Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, close to National Highway 314, and is the highest courtesy given by the Pamir Plateau. After getting off the bus, look up at the snow-capped mountains, so pure and beautiful, and glance at the lake, clear to the bottom. It is said that coming to Baisha Lake is still a matter of luck. If you encounter dark clouds, it will not be so picturesque. There are many tourists taking pictures, but I prefer to look at the lake, look at the yaks 🦬 and ponies 🐎, and then keep them in my heart. Location: Baisha Lake, a poetic name, is located on the Pamir Plateau in Southern Xinjiang, Akto County, Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, close to National Highway 314. Whether you are departing from Kashgar or heading to Tashkurgan, Baisha Lake will be a pleasant surprise on your journey. Transportation: It takes about 3 hours from Kashgar Old City and about 2.5 hours from Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County. You can reach Baisha Lake along National Highway 314. The road conditions are good throughout the journey, and ordinary cars and SUVs can pass. Its opening hours are 09:30-19:30. Photo Spots: Baisha Lake has two viewing platforms, but the free viewing platform cannot directly reach the lake. The second viewing platform coming from Kashgar is definitely the best place to take pictures 📷.
