You absolutely *have* to stay at this hotel when you visit Hangzhou!!!

🎈**Location & Transportation:** It's a three-hour drive from Shanghai (without traffic). Once you get off the highway, it's about another 15 minutes. There are plenty of kid-friendly spots nearby, including a farm and an indoor play area. The entrance to Tianmu Mountain is only a 10-minute drive away, and there are two rafting spots nearby: Moon Bay Rafting (3-minute drive) and Tianmuyuan Rafting (15-minute drive). There are also many farm-to-table restaurants in the area, but we ate all our meals at the hotel (more on the food later). 🔑**Room Amenities:** The room key cards are adorable! They come in a variety of designs featuring local Tianmu Mountain species. The room decor also follows a nature theme, with lots of flowers, birds, fish, and insects. We stayed in a balcony room on the 6th floor, which overlooked the children's play area and the outdoor pool. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom—having the bathtub and shower together is *so* convenient! The tub is huge and deep, perfect for a relaxing soak. The sink area is connected to the bedroom, and the toiletries are from Shanghai Tang. Since the hotel is family-friendly, they also provided Peppa Pig toiletries for kids. 🏊**Hotel Facilities:** The main facilities include: 1. Kids' Club (we didn't go, but we always saw parents dropping their kids off, and the front desk advertised different themed storytelling sessions each day); 2. Swimming Pools (four pools! Two indoor and two outdoor, with a kids' pool and a deeper pool for each); 3. Outdoor Play Area (a decent size, with three or four slides, a zip line for kids, and several trampolines that even shameless adults like myself can enjoy). The pools are open from 9am to 9pm. We went right at 9am, so it wasn't crowded, and the outdoor pool was surprisingly warm (around 30°C). The atmosphere by the pool was amazing! 🍽️**Food:** This was the weakest part of our stay. There's only one restaurant in the entire hotel, and no lobby bar or any other cafe/bar options. Since the hotel is quite secluded, delivery is pretty much out of the question. The only other dining options within a 10-minute drive are farm-to-table restaurants, which we weren't keen on. So, we ended up having our welcome drinks, dinner, breakfast, and lunch all in the same place, which got a bit boring. However, the food was tasty and reasonably priced, with plenty of local specialties.
