The Potala Palace of the Grasslands: Dazhao Wuliang Temple

Dazhao Wuliang Temple, known as "Yikezhao" in Mongolian, meaning "Great Temple," is the earliest Gelug (Yellow Hat) Tibetan Buddhist temple in Hohhot. It is also one of the most complete and largest Tibetan Buddhist temples in Inner Mongolia. Built in 1579 during the Ming Dynasty, the temple has a history of over 400 years.
