During the 200-year history of the Qing Dynasty, there were 595 intermarriages between Manchus and Mongolians, including 432 royal princesses marrying Mongolians and 163 members of the Qing royal family marrying the daughters of Mongolian princes. Kangxi had 20 daughters, 12 of whom died young. Among the 8 adult princesses, 6 married Mongolians (2 of whom married important officials in the court). Kangxi's sixth daughter, born to the noble lady Guo Luoluo, married Dundobdorji, a prince of the Tushetu Khanate of the Khalkha Mongols in northern Mobei in 1697 (at the age of 18). She was conferred titles three times: the first time was in 1697 (at the age of 19), when she was conferred the title of "Heshuo Princess" because she was "expert in domestic affairs and worthy of special honors." The second time was in 1706 (when she was 28 years old), she was given the title of "Princess Kejing" because of her "gentle and kind heart and impeccable virtues". The third time was in 1724 (when she was 46 years old), Emperor Yongzheng specially bestowed the Golden Book (this Golden Book is kept in the National History Museum in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) on his sister who was one year younger than him and promoted her to the title of "Princess Gulun Kejing". "Heshuo" and "Gulun" are princess levels. The daughters of the empress were given the title of "Gulun Princess", the highest rank; the daughters of concubines and noble ladies were given the title of "Heshuo Princess".
