Mandarin's superb breakfast and afternoon tea

Mandarin Oriental Hotel $3003 package: Includes - Queen's Square view room - 30 hours accommodation on weekdays (14:00 CI/22:00 CO) - Abalone, lobster and oyster buffet @ Clipper Lounge - Breakfast @ Cafe Causette - XOVE themed afternoon tea @ Cafe Causette - XOVE skincare experience set Room/facilities: The room hardware and view are first-class, the decoration and furniture are very well maintained, the cleanliness is perfect, and all the amenities are of very high quality. Food: Buffet: Frozen seafood was average, many hot dishes were not hot enough, but Hainanese chicken and desserts were good. Breakfast: Cafe Causette’s banana French toast is top-notch, so delicious! The set meal is large in portion and the environment is comfortable, which ranks first in my mind as the best hotel breakfast. Afternoon tea: My friend and I have never liked desserts, but the ones produced by Mandarin Bakery are really good, simple and unpretentious, winning with taste. After visiting many five star hotels, this afternoon tea is our favorite. Mandarin Cake Shop: Andrew's Portuguese tarts are on sale for a limited time. We bought a few and they are really delicious. My friend ate three in three days😆 Service: I was very satisfied from check-in to entering the room. The Veranda style balcony room and high floor that I requested when booking were all arranged. Although I called to request a latex pillow, what was delivered was actually two ordinary pillows, and the soundproofing of the room was just average and I could hear the kids next door screaming the whole time 😆, but I was so satisfied with the room and the view, and the Olympic Games on Wednesday afternoon were exciting, so I didn't worry about these little things. Later, before we went to the buffet, a small incident happened which affected my friend and I's mood for the whole night. Fortunately, we met a bespectacled brother usher in the Clipper Lounge who was very good at serving us and made up for it. My friend has the habit of storing ballpoint pens from hotels. When filling out the paper, he politely asked Brother Bespectacled if he could keep one as a souvenir. He immediately took out all the pens in his bag (about a dozen) for my friend to choose, and even said that he could take two 😆 The surprise was that when we were eating lobster, Brother Bespectacled suddenly came back and said that he found two new ones for my friend, and that the two were of different shapes 😯 (my friend returned the old one to him). In addition, the service of the young female waiter who collected the plates was also good. When she saw that the soda was finished, she immediately asked if she needed a refill, and she collected the plates quickly. When I got back to the room, I found that the bed was not made. I thought that this service was cancelled because there were too many people in the summer vacation/it was only for the guest rooms and suites of Mandarin Pavilion. . .
