Lake Green Bread Cafe, a paradise for bread lovers

This bakery has been very popular since its opening. I took the opportunity to visit the store on Sunday before leaving Wan Chai District. I think the quality of this bread is comparable to Bake House. 📍Location: Near Exit F of Admiralty Station. Take the bus and get off at Arsenal Street Station. It’s about a seven-minute walk away. 🏠Environment: The storefront is lake green, with an open outdoor round table at the door. In front of it is a large glass cabinet displaying a dazzling array of breads, which makes people dazzled and don’t know which bag to start with. On the right are booths with densely arranged tables. I personally think it is quite crowded, especially when the seats are full. It was not even 12 o'clock yet and the restaurant was already full. I had to wait for about ten minutes before I was seated. 🤵🏻Service: Place your order at the bakery counter, no extra charge. 🍽️Lunch: Mainly provides sourdough bread, pastries and salads. 🥪Salmon & Cheese $71 This was ordered by a friend. It was a big portion with smoked salmon and salad. My friend said it tasted good. 🥗Salad $50/200g You can choose two types of salad. My friend chose the red and green salad, which is beetroot and citrus. The taste is fresh and the beetroot does not have a grassy taste. The other one has green beans, broccoli, cucumber, and green pepper, which is fresh and crisp🥰! Both are delicious 👍🏻, but the portion is not big. 🥧Mille Feuille Vanilla Tart w/Orange $25 The pastry of this egg tart is well made, very crispy🤤, with smooth egg paste and sweet and sour orange jam inside. The three are well matched, but there is a little less egg paste😉. 🥯Sour Dough Quiche Vegetable $42 The cheese flavor of this mixed vegetable omelette is very prominent, but it doesn’t make you feel greasy. The vegetable cubes increase the taste, which is good. 🥯Sour Dough Panier Japanese Pumpkin, Tomato & Greek Yogurt $38 🥰This is a very special Thousand Layer Pie that I am most satisfied with. The pumpkin puree on the top is smooth and has a burnt aroma🤤, and the puff pastry on the bottom is very crispy. It is a perfect combination👍🏻! 🍞Pistachio Creamy Brioche $29 It looks good, with pistachio paste and cream squeezed in the middle of the bread. The pistachio flavor is relatively light, and the cream is sweet 🥲. It is worth praising that the bun is very soft 🤤 and has a milky aroma 😍. It would be better if the cream could be less sweet. 🧁Early Grey Canele $23 🥰The shape is exquisite, a little bigger than the Japanese large-sized crepe. The middle is filled with Earl Grey tea cream, and the outer layer is very crispy🤤, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but it loses the soft and chewy texture. 🧁Hojicha Canele $23 It tastes the same as Earl Grey, except the flavor has been changed to roasted tea.
