Food in Tsim Sha Tsui | Crab Ba Ye | Must-try Supreme Crab Roe Noodles

On Sunday night, I went to Tsim Sha Tsui to look for food. There were plenty of options, and I decided to visit "Crab Ba Ye." The decor was charming, especially the paintings on the wall. Noodle dishes start at HK$49, which is very affordable. For an additional HK$20, you can upgrade to a set meal that includes three selected side dishes and a drink. I ordered the Crystal Shrimp and Shrimp Roe Soup Noodles (HK$69). The crystal shrimp were translucent, tender, and flavorful. The generous portion of shrimp roe added depth to the taste. The soup noodles were made with thin noodles, offering a smooth texture. The broth had a darker color but wasn’t overly salty. Of course, visiting "Crab Ba Ye" means indulging in their signature dish. Treat yourself to the Supreme Crab Roe Noodles (HK$148 for à la carte). The noodles used for this dish were thicker, allowing the sauce to cling better. This dish features crab paste, crab roe, crab meat, and crab white paste all in one bowl. The flavor was fresh and sweet without any fishy taste. I personally preferred the crab meat and crab white paste, while my companion enjoyed the crab paste and crab roe. Everyone had their favorites, so there was no need to fight over food. The set meal included three small dishes: marinated egg, crispy pork bites, and fried crab roe wontons. Each bite was delightful, especially the fried crab roe wontons, which had thin and crispy skins. For the drink, I chose the special lemon tea made with perfume lemons, which had a pleasant taste. The Crab Roe Baby Cabbage (HK$24) was a great value, with an incredibly generous portion of crab roe. Finally, the Pan-fried Crab Roe Soup Dumplings (HK$10 each) were served fresh and hot.
