It's that time of the year again to enjoy the autumn foliage at CUHK.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is located in Shatin and is one of Hong Kong's renowned higher education institutions. Every winter, the campus's red leaf scenery attracts numerous tourists and photography enthusiasts. The red leaves at CUHK are mainly concentrated around Lake Ad Excellentiam and Chung Chi College, where the bald cypress and sweet gum trees turn orange-red in winter, creating a romantic red leaf landscape. These red leaves not only add color to the campus but also become a distinctive feature of CUHK in winter. Lake Ad Excellentiam, located within Chung Chi College at CUHK, is one of the best spots to view the red leaves. A whole row of bald cypress and sweet gum trees are planted along the lake, and from November to February each year, the leaves of these trees turn from green to red, forming a spectacular red leaf scene. The serene environment around Lake Ad Excellentiam, along with the Lion Pavilion, small bridges, and paths by the lake, are all great places to enjoy the red leaves. Especially during early morning or dusk, the sunlight filtering through the red leaves and reflecting on the lake surface creates an exceptionally enchanting view.
