It was so sunny that I needed to wear sunscreen. ✅Transportation: I crossed the border at Futian Port in Shenzhen, took the subway directly to Hung Hom, and the customs process was very smooth. I took the high-speed train back to Shenzhen in the evening (accommodation in Hong Kong during the National Day holiday was too expensive, so Shenzhen was a much more affordable option). ✅1-day city walk itinerary: Hong Kong Polytechnic University → Victoria Harbour → Cheung Chau → Central ✅Morning: Futian Port + Hong Kong Polytechnic University I crossed the border at Futian Port and took the subway directly to Hung Hom Station. Exit A1 of the subway station leads directly to Hong Kong Polytechnic University. If you want to visit the campus, remember to ask a friend to provide you with a reservation code. The university is full of retro red brick buildings, and most of the buildings are named after famous people. There is also a plaque with a quote from Premier Wen. I was really envious of the outdoor swimming pool, and the green lawns on campus are perfect for taking photos. ✅Lunch: Gok Seung Bing Sutt It is a 15-minute walk from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I ordered pineapple bun with butter, sweet and sour pork, broccoli, shrimp vermicelli, Hong Kong-style milk tea, and iced lemon tea. The milk tea had a strong tea flavor, and the lemon tea tasted a little different, but everything was delicious. ✅Afternoon: Victoria Harbour + Cheung Chau You have to take some photos at Victoria Harbour when you visit Hong Kong. I took photos with the same poses as Li Ka-shing in "Hold Tight to Wealth", "Wealth Comes to Me", and "Designated to Get Rich". Then I walked along the harbor and saw the statue of Bruce Lee. Then I took the ferry, and on the way to the ferry, I saw some iconic buildings. Remember to check the ferry schedule for each pier. It was almost 3:30 pm, and I was in a hurry. I went there after climbing the mini Great Wall, and there was a seat available at around 7 pm. ✅Evening: Central + West Kowloon High-Speed Railway Station I took the ferry back to Central in the evening and enjoyed the night view of Hong Kong. I took the Ding Ding Tram to tour Central (a double-decker bus that is called the Ding Ding Tram because it makes a ding ding sound) and captured many street scenes of Hong Kong at night. Finally, I took the high-speed train back to Shenzhen at around 10 pm. My 1-day city walk in Hong Kong was a success. I walked a lot, but it was worth it.
