Essay: Hiking in Cheung Chau on weekends

On a holiday morning, the sunlight shines through the curtains, bringing a hint of warmth. I decided to go to Cheung Chau to enjoy a hiking trip to get in close contact with nature. As I boarded the ferry, my heart was filled with anticipation as the boat swayed. After arriving at Cheung Chau, the sea breeze blew on my face, bringing with it a salty scent, which made me feel happy. I walked along the path into the depths of the forest, with lush green trees and colorful wild flowers on both sides, as if I had entered a dream world. While hiking, I could hear the birds singing and the leaves rustling in the breeze, and these sounds made me feel peaceful. As we walked, the path became a little steeper, but every step brought an immense sense of satisfaction. The sunlight shines through the treetops and onto the path, creating mottled light and shadows. This feeling made me think a lot, and the hustle and bustle of the city seemed to disappear in an instant, leaving only the natural tranquility. When I reached the top of the mountain, I was amazed by the view. The vast ocean sparkles in the sun, and the mountains in the distance are layered, forming a magnificent scenery. At this moment, I felt a strong sense of accomplishment, and all my fatigue disappeared with this sight. I sat on the rock at the top of the mountain, quietly admiring the beautiful scenery before me, my heart full of gratitude. On the way down the mountain, I chatted with a few tourists who were also hiking. Everyone shared their travel stories, and this interaction made me feel another kind of fun of hiking. It is not only a close contact with nature, but also communication and resonance with people. After a day of hiking, I boarded the ferry back home, still feeling happy.
