May Day Gulangyu Cruise Experience

Itinerary: Hong Kong – Ishigaki Island – Hong Kong (May 1st – May 5th) ✨ Tips: I chose a balcony room in the end, which offers the best value for money! 🚍 Transportation: Took the shuttle bus included with the ferry ticket for the outbound trip, and used the 20A bus to West Kowloon Station for the return trip—both were very smooth! 🧳 Boarding essentials: Passport, ferry ticket, slippers, and toiletries (remember to bring your own). Sunscreen, swimwear, face masks, sunglasses, and common medications are also very practical! 😴 Seasick? I usually get carsick easily, but I didn’t feel seasick at all this time. Maybe it’s because the weather was calm and my room was well-located (mid-ship). 📶 Should you buy Wi-Fi? It costs USD 20 per day, which is a bit pricey. I chose to disconnect for a few days, and it was actually more relaxing! I recommend turning off data roaming. 🗺️ Tips for Ishigaki Island: Book a private car in advance for your free exploration, or you might end up waiting a long time for transportation. 🎉 Is the cruise fun? Every day feels like a carnival!
