Singapore's Popular Hainanese Chicken Rice Arrives in Hong Kong

Singapore's popular Hainanese chicken rice has finally arrived in Hong Kong! The restaurant has a history of 40 years in Singapore, and its most famous dish is undoubtedly the poached chicken. We ordered the 2-person set ($328), which includes half a poached chicken, sweet and sour pork, sambal water spinach, two bowls of chicken oil rice, and we added $38 for a bowl of double-boiled soup and $15 for a special drink. Additionally, we ordered a portion of shrimp toast 😋. The soup of the day was double-boiled pork ribs with tea tree mushrooms, rich in flavor and ingredients. Poached chicken (boneless Hainanese chicken) – The chicken skin is crispy, the meat is tender and juicy, with a slight jelly-like chicken oil texture. The aroma of chicken oil paired with a bite of chicken oil rice is an unbeatable combination 😋. The sweet and sour pork is fried to perfection, crispy and paired with a tangy sauce that whets the appetite. Singapore-style sambal water spinach – Initially, I thought the flavor would be overpowering, but it turned out to be not too salty and quite tasty. Apart from the Hainanese chicken, my favorite dish was the shrimp toast. It was absolutely delicious 🤣😋💯—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and every bite was filled with fragrant, bouncy shrimp meat. Highly recommended 👍🏻.
