Yuen Long San Tin Taifu Mansion - The residence of a fifth-rank official in the Qing Dynasty

Today I joined a tour group and visited Xintian Dafudi. This Dafu Mansion was listed as a statutory monument on July 10, 1987. It was first built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1865) and was the residence of Wen Songluan, a fifth-rank official. The Tai Fu Tai is a typical example of traditional southern China gentry mansion architecture and is one of the most magnificent historical buildings in Hong Kong. The interior of the building features exquisite murals and wood carvings featuring auspicious Chinese motifs and floral themes.
