God's Tribe-Sima Kusi (Taiwan)

Simakus, an aboriginal tribe located in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu, is one of the hot spots for cherry blossom viewing every year. When the cherry blossoms bloom, the entire village is surrounded by a sea of ​​pink flowers, like a paradise on earth. This is my second time to Simakus and my first time to enjoy the cherry blossoms during the cherry blossom season. The mountains full of cherry blossoms have left a deep impression on me. The journey to Simakus is not easy. Due to the rugged road conditions, the journey takes two to three or four hours. But along the way, as the altitude increases, the scenery outside the car window gradually becomes more quiet. Entering and passing through the clouds, looking at the mountains in the distance shrouded in mist. There is no pollution here, the air is fresh, and the atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful. When we arrived at the tribe, the cherry trees in the mountains had begun to bloom. The pink flowers dotted among the green mountains and green waters welcomed us. I entered a beautiful picture. The cherry blossoms in Simakus are not as sparsely blooming as the ordinary plain cherry blossoms. Instead, they are densely dotted in the mountains, in clusters. Beauty lies in numbers. Walking on the paths in the tribe, the cherry blossoms on the branches sway in the wind and the petals fall, adding a bit of romance. When the sunlight shines through the leaves onto the ground, casting mottled shadows, such a scene makes people unable to help but stop and savor the tranquility and beauty. This romantic pink makes me fall in love with the mountain. The cherry trees in the village are more than just a beautiful sight; they are closely connected to the local Aboriginal culture. The indigenous people of Simakus have preserved many traditional customs and cultures. Every year during the cherry blossom season, local residents hold some traditional celebrations and activities. Such a cultural background makes the cherry blossom viewing trip more profound. It is not only a visual enjoyment, but also allows people to better understand the history and culture of this land. In addition to cherry blossom viewing, Simakus also has many trails suitable for hiking, the most famous of which is the Simakus Trail. This trail is not only the path to various cherry blossom viewing spots, but also allows people to enjoy the baptism of nature during the hike. The trail is almost flat and not very difficult, but the distance is long, it takes ten kilometers to go back and forth. If you can’t finish the walk, you can turn back halfway, but you will miss the sacred trees at the end of the trail. The scenery here has different styles and tree appearances every time you walk a certain distance, making you want to stop and take pictures. It is worthy of being God's tribe. We and the tribe will cherish this land together to ensure that this cherry blossom forest and culture will be sustainable.
