Huazhou Confucian Temple.

Also known as the Wen Temple or Xue Palace, Huazhou Confucian Temple is located at No. 5 Jiaoyu Road, Huazhou City, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. It is one of the two remaining Confucian temples in South Guangdong. Huazhou Confucian Temple was first built in the second year of the Jiading period of the Song Dynasty (1209). It was relocated and rebuilt during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. In the 13th year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1748), it was relocated to its original site. From the autumn of the fifth year of the Jiaqing period to the following year, the scale and layout of the Confucian Temple were finally determined. Huazhou Confucian Temple includes a group of buildings such as the Chongsheng Shrine, Minglun Hall, Xiangxian Shrine, Mingguan Shrine, and Shilong Academy. In 2002, Huazhou Confucian Temple was announced as a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province by the People's Government of Guangdong Province. In August 2021, Huazhou Confucian Temple was rated as a national AAA-level tourist attraction.
