It is said that Lady Xian rewarded the soldiers in the barracks, slaughtered cattle, and celebrated the spring, which later evolved into the New Year. Before the New Year begins, every household will prepare chicken, pork, fish, and other dishes to make a "three animals" offering for the Bodhisattva, called "Bai Zhong" or "Bai Zao."
