We took a taxi to the Kinshe Water Shrine. Later we found out that there is actually a shuttle bus from Iwanuma Station to the shrine parking lot. Maybe because today is the first day of Golden Week (April 29), the parking lot of the shrine is crowded with private cars. There was a huge crowd on the way from the parking lot to the worship hall, and we had to queue up to pay incense money and worship for about ten minutes. Kanahebisujinja Shrine (かなへびすいじんじゃ) is a local shrine dedicated to the god of water and the god of wealth, known for praying for wealth, business prosperity and good health. Because the shrine's name contains the word "snake", it is often associated with the gods of wealth, white snakes, and dragon gods in Japanese beliefs.
