In 1978, David Overton opened his first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, inspired by his mother Evelyn Overton’s classic cheesecake, blending creative menus and cozy vibes that quickly became a hallmark of fine casual dining. In 2015, the Jersey City branch opened in Newport Center Mall, showing a unique contemporary style with imported limestone floors, hand-painted murals and modern lighting designs, becoming a sweet spot for local residents and visitors, especially during the cold winter months. In the restaurant, more than 250 dishes are made fresh daily, with a menu spanning pasta, steaks, seafood and more than 50 classic cheesecakes such as strawberry cheesecake and chocolate lava cake, which are like sweet works of art. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with snow or autumn leaves outside the window, a thick jacket is required in winter, and the indoor lighting is warm for leisurely dining.
