Autumn in Shaxi

Dali is well-known to people from all over, but the nearby Shaxi ancient town is little known. Different from the hustle and bustle of Dali ancient city, Shaxi ancient town has more local characteristics. Shaxi ancient town was rated as one of the must-visit ancient towns in one's lifetime by National Geographic. Shaxi ancient town is located in the southwest of Jianchuan County, Dali Prefecture, 100 kilometers away from Lijiang. This quiet and simple mountain town has a long bluestone road, with ancient buildings scattered on both sides of the street. The architectural style of the ancient town is unique, mainly Bai nationality, with a variety of cultures such as Han and Tibetan. Shaxi ancient town was once an important post station on the ancient tea-horse road. With the popular TV series 'Go to the place with wind' on air, the beautiful scenery of Dali was once again 'blown' into the public's eyes, and many people came to the filming location of Shaxi ancient town to check in. The check-in spots include ancient stage, Yuhuang Pavilion, Yujin Bridge, Nanzong ancient alley, Xingjiao Temple, Sideng Street, Pioneer Bookstore, Ouyang Courtyard, etc. Ancient temples, ancient stages, ancient shops, ancient village gates... The Heihui River is the mother river of Shaxi ancient town. It is clear and gentle, and Yujin Bridge is the first bridge to Dali, and it is the necessary road for all horse teams coming from the south and going to the north in the past. Standing on the bridge is the best angle to view the whole town, and it is also the gathering place for village children to play. The most charming thing about Yujin Bridge is at dusk. In the extremely gentle twilight air, the breeze comes with the fragrance of wild flowers and grass, the smell of soil, and the faint smell of cow dung and horse dung. At present, there are 5 to 6 daily customized routes from Lijiang to Shaxi, at 9 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, 13 o'clock, 15 o'clock, and 17 o'clock. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Shaxi ancient town from Lijiang.
