Summary of 3 visits to Jingdezhen: A perfect one-day city tour

Jingdezhen is truly a paradise for girls! Shopping🛍️ and taking photos📸 are perfect here~ I've been three times in one year, and based on my experience, here’s a summary of the best one-day city tour, only visiting the worthwhile spots! A straightforward and honest guide for you to keep. . 🌀1-day 1-night itinerary: 🌟Arrive at Jingdezhen North Station by high-speed train the afternoon before, stay at the designer boutique hotel Dongbi Yinguai near Taoxichuan and Taoyangli. In the evening, first visit Taoxichuan, then explore the market or try pottery making. 🌟Early next morning, head to the China Ceramics Museum ➠ Taoyangli (Imperial Kiln Museum) ➠ Sanbao Village ➠ departure. 🚗Transportation: taxi/electric scooter. . 🧡Tips for the trip: 1️⃣ Taoxichuan A cultural and creative street area transformed from an abandoned kiln factory. It looks even better lit up at night. 📍Must-take photos at two spots: ① chimney + houses + water reflection (navigate to Hansen Bear Restaurant) ② moon + houses + water reflection (navigate to Sand Casting Art Museum). 2️⃣ About the market Markets selling bracelets, vases, and other ceramic trinkets are located at 📍Taoyang New Village, Sculpture Porcelain Factory, Sanbao Village, and opposite the south gate of Taoxichuan. After comparison, ⚠️ the south gate of Taoxichuan is the cheapest place! Because no one talks about it online, it’s not well known! I discovered this market by chance this time, and locals said prices are almost half of other places! So 📍after visiting Taoxichuan, exit from the south gate and go straight to the market. 📍There are pottery-making places next to the market stores and nearby pottery street. 3️⃣ China Ceramics Museum Free entry ⚠️ closed on Mondays, reservation required in advance. Besides the silent FO, the ceramics inside are stunning. 📍Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and follow the signs to tour. 4️⃣ Taoyangli Ticket price 53 RMB, the Imperial Kiln Museum is also inside (if you didn’t book in advance, no worries, there is still an on-site reservation entrance). 📍Entering from the south gate is convenient. Beautiful photo spots inside include: Imperial Kiln Museum, Longzhu Pavilion, Xujia Kiln. ⚠️ Especially Xujia Kiln, it’s stunning! Many people miss this spot, but most travel photos are taken here! 5️⃣ Sanbao Village Take photos of gas cylinders and various large Jingdezhen character walls. Navigate to 📍“Mixue Bingcheng Sanbao Road Store” which is the village entrance. Rent an electric bike to explore. 📍Follow Sanbao Road to the Sanbao Art Museum to finish. ⚠️ If you didn’t get to try pottery making the night before, there are many places in Sanbao Village to do it. . 💡Honest tips: ✔️Why didn’t I mention the Sculpture Porcelain Factory? Because it’s very similar to Sanbao Street but not as pretty. It mainly sells small ceramic goods. However, 📍Silent Coffee is there, so unless you want to check out the coffee shop, it’s not necessary. ✔️Why didn’t I mention Fuzhou Alley? This kind of snack street mainly targets tourists. It’s better to eat at busy roadside stalls. ✔️If you have an extra day, I highly recommend renting a car to drive to the outskirts of Jingdezhen to see [Porcelain Palace ➠ Bingding Chai Kiln ➠ Earth Lamp ➠ Dongbu Village ➠ Yaoli Ancient Town]. This route makes a perfect day trip with even more stunning scenery.
