Yuci County Yamen

Yuci County Yamen: Located on the north side of East Street in the old city of Yuci, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, facing south to the north, there is a large archway in front of the door, and stone lions on both sides of the door stand proudly, majestic and solemn. The county yamen was built in the Song Dynasty, covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters. It is a six-entry courtyard, symmetrical along the central axis, with civil officials on the left and military officials on the right. It has five halls, twenty-six courtyards, and more than 400 rooms. The county yamen has been repaired through the ages, and during this period, many ancient buildings such as plaques, archways, halls, halls, corridors, verandas, towers, and pavilions are gathered in one place, well preserved, brilliant, vivid and simple, and indeed a fine work of ancient architecture.
