Wat Phra Non | Kamphaeng Phet Province

#Where to travel this summer Wat Phra Non is a large temple located in Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, outside the city walls, called Aranyik area. It was built around the late Sukhothai period. The buildings inside the temple are mainly made of laterite, which is very strong. It was also used to build the walls, and is therefore called Kamphaeng Phet. Inside Wat Phra Non, there are ancient sites in the temple, including the octagonal pillar ordination hall, which is the ancient site at the very front of the temple, the chapel, which is located behind the ordination hall. In the past, there was a reclining Buddha (reclining Buddha), and the main chedi, which is located next to the ordination hall, which is a large bell-shaped chedi with an octagonal base. The unique characteristics of Wat Phra Non are clearly different from others, namely, there is a square pond, a bathroom, and a pavilion. There is also the largest laterite pillar in Thailand because the buildings in Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, which are ancient sites, use laterite as the main material for construction.
