🌸 Caught the Last Wave of Kansai's Cherry Blossoms — Just When I Thought I’d Missed It!

#cherryblossom25 I had basically given up on this year’s sakura season… but by some miracle, I caught the tail end of full bloom in Kansai! 🌸😭 Huge thanks to Spring Airlines for opening the Xiamen–Osaka route (manifesting Tokyo next 🙏), so even us busy folks can squeeze in a weekend getaway ✈️💼 This time, I skipped the Kyoto crowds and headed north to Shiga Prefecture — way fewer people, and the sakura? Absolutely peak bloom! 🌸🎯 📍Photo Stops: Miidera Temple Lake Biwa Canal (Biwako Sosui) Kawaguchi Park Under Setagawa Bridge Kaizu Ōsaki 🌸 The Setagawa River spot was a total surprise! JR service was down that morning, and I had to walk to the next station — but that little detour led to one of the most peaceful, unexpected sakura moments of the trip 💖 📍The first three locations — Miidera, Lake Biwa Canal, and Kawaguchi Park — are close together, super easy to explore in one go. 🌸 As for Kaizu Ōsaki — it hit full bloom on April 12, and I’m guessing sakura snow (cherry blossom showers) will start around the 17th. If you're in Kansai and thought you missed the season, Shiga still has hope! ☔ But heads up — rain is coming soon, fingers crossed the blossoms hang on a bit longer! #travel
