Originally, it was polluted due to industrialization, but now it has become a popular resting place for citizens and tourists as the Kaohsiung government carries out an environmental cleanup project. There are well-developed walking and cycling paths along the riverside, so you can leisurely walk or ride a bicycle to enjoy the river scenery.🫠 On the day I arrived in Kaohsiung, I decided to adjust my schedule to visit the Love River at sunset. I took the MRT from my accommodation, got off at City Council Station (市議會站), and walked toward the riverside!! The Love River is a river that runs through the city center of Kaohsiung, and although it is in the middle of the city, it boasts a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. When I first walked along the river, the calm river and green trees were impressive. There were benches and walking paths well-maintained around the river, so many people were spending their time leisurely. Locals were jogging or chatting while drinking coffee at a riverside cafe, and tourists like me were taking pictures and enjoying the atmosphere here~✌️ As I walked slowly along the river and looked around, I saw many cafes and restaurants with nice atmospheres here and there.
