Founded in 1822. A Japanese confectionery shop in Kashima with 200 years of history

Marusan Shosho is located in the heart of Kashima Shrine. It is the oldest Japanese confectionery shop in the area☺️ A few years ago, when the Emperor and Empress visited, they presented this Japanese confectionery to them! ✨ There is a wide selection of delicate nerikiri and sweets that make use of the region's characteristics❣️ My favorite is the Kashima Roman, where the sweetness of the potato spreads in your mouth and the texture is moist, making you want to eat as many as you can🥹 There is also an eat-in space called Marusan Cafe, but unfortunately it was closed on this day, so I only bought Japanese confectionery and went home🥲 If you come to visit Kashima Shrine, please check it out☺️ 📍Address: 2-9-6 Miyashita, Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture 314-0032 🕰️Business hours: 9:00-18:00 #0 yen trip January 2025
