Wat Chang Hai Rat Buranaram (Luang Pu Thuat), Tambon Khok Pho, Pattani Province, is located in Ban Pa Rai, Tambon Thung Pla, along the railway line from Hat Yai to Su-ngai Kolok, in the area of ​​the railway station. It is an old temple that was built over 300 years ago. Interesting things in the temple include the Vihara, which houses a life-size statue of Luang Pu Thuat. Luang Pu Thuat was a monk with great compassion and was able to study the Dhamma. He was also the former abbot of Wat Chang Hai. There is a story that when he traveled to Ayutthaya by ship, there was a storm along the way, and food and water fell into the sea. The crew felt very thirsty, so Luang Pu Thuat showed his compassion by putting his feet in the sea. It turned out that the water in that area turned into fresh water and could be drunk. It was a miracle. Since then, his reputation has been known everywhere and is known as the legend of "Luang Pu Thuat stepping on the sea water until it became fresh." Later, Luang Pu Thuat passed away in Malaysia and his body was brought back to Wat Chang Hai. Phra That Chedi It is approximately 59 meters high. Its architectural style is a five-tiered pagoda with the largest pagoda in the middle. On top of the pagoda is a seven-tiered umbrella made of 100 baht of gold, decorated with rubies. Inside the pagoda is a hall enshrining the Buddha's relics and a gallery surrounding the pagoda. There is also a chapel, stupa, pavilion and bell tower with extremely beautiful architecture.
