The boat usually arrives around 9am and must leave before 4pm ⸻ 🏝️ Environment & Facilities • Consists of 11 islands, but only 6 main islands can be visited, such as Koh Similan, Koh Miang, where Koh Similan has white sandy beaches and crystal clear water all day long.  • Featured activities: Diving & snorkeling, crystal clear water 10–30 m, beautiful corals, and you may encounter sea turtles, lice, and sharks while scuba diving. • On the island there are restaurants, shops, and bathrooms, but no air conditioning and electricity from a generator, open only in the evening. • There are tent sites (570–600 baht/night) and basic bungalow zones. (1,000–2,000 THB/night) For those who want to camp ⸻ 📍 Location & Travel • Located in Similan Islands National Park, Phang Nga Province (about 70–100 km from Phuket) • Boats depart from Tab Lamu Pier, Phang Nga or some programs depart from Phuket, speedboat duration ~70 minutes or express boat ~3 hours  ⸻ 💸 Average price • Park fee: Foreigners 500 THB, Children 250 THB / Thais 100 THB, Thai children 50 THB • One-day trip (including car-boat-lunch + fee): about 2,000–3,500 THB  • For staying overnight on the island: Tent 500–600 THB, Fan bungalow ~1,000 THB, Air-conditioned ~2,000 THB/night • Liveaboard diving trip (2‑3 nights): starting at about 5,000 THB per person  ⸻ ⚠️ Things to know & Recommendations • Tourists are limited to ~3,300 people per day and some islands are closed to protect turtles from hatching eggs. • During the high season (Dec-Apr), the water is very clear but there will be a lot of people. It is recommended to book a trip in advance or choose the first/last day of the open season. • People with intestinal leakage may get seasick. It is recommended to bring motion sickness pills, drinking water, essentials and a waterproof bag to put documents. • Do not touch/stand on the coral, do not litter, use less plastic to help conserve nature. ⸻ ✨ Summary The Similan Islands are a paradise in the Andaman Sea that is on many people's #mustgo list.
