🇯🇵 [Kochi Prefecture] The symbol of Kochi! Kochi Castle 🏯 (^^) Hirayamajiro is a castle with a three-story, six-storey tower. The first lord of Tosa, Yamauchi Kazutoyo, began construction in 1601. It was completed in 1611 during the time of the second lord, Tadayoshi. It was later burned down, but was rebuilt in 1753. The tower, Tsumemon, the east and west Tamon Yagura, and the Kurogane Gate are all designated as Important Cultural Properties. The Honmaru, where the tower is located, is the only place in Japan where the tower, palace, and other buildings remain as a set.
