Kotohira-gu Shrine, also known as Konpira-san, is located in Kotohira Town, Nakatado District, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is sometimes written as Kotohira-gu, which has the same pronunciation in Japanese. The shrine was formerly classified as a national shrine of intermediate rank. It is the head shrine of all Kotohira, Konpira, and Kompira shrines across Japan. When you visit Kagawa Prefecture in Shikoku, you absolutely must visit the renowned Kotohira-gu Shrine, which is said to be a place you should visit at least once in your lifetime!
