75 million year old shell cemetery

The 75-year-old Shell Cemetery is located on the coast of Ban Laem Pho in the northeastern part of the national park. It contains fossils of freshwater snails, mostly snails, which are about 2 centimeters long. These snail fossils were deposited with water mixed with lime, which hardened into rocks on top of a layer of lignite and shale. Geological evidence suggests that the Shell Cemetery is about 40-20 million years old. #100TravelTips
