This free ancient town is highly recommended and is just as good as Zhouzhuang!

I've been to many ancient towns, and Jinxi has its own unique charm. There are no cookie-cutter online celebrity shops, and the original flavor of the Jiangnan water town is preserved. 🎫: Free (no ticket required) Recommended transportation: Self-driving 🚗 Jinxi is known for its "thirty-six bridges and seventy-two kilns." The ancient bridges span the water alleys, and the stone roads by the bridges are marked with the traces of time. The scenic area is free of charge, but there are several paid attractions inside (not recommended). A joint ticket costs CNY 65, and there are discounts for online purchases. The joint ticket includes: • Guliang Bridge: (Yes, you need a ticket to get on this bridge) • Zhangsheng Art Museum • Jinxi Pottery Culture Museum • Ding House • Ancient Brick and Tile Museum • Jinshi Family • Marot Mud Zen Workshop (closed when we visited) The joint ticket is not cost-effective, and only the Ancient Brick and Tile Museum is worth seeing. The museum houses a large number of ancient bricks and tiles from the Neolithic period to the Ming and Qing dynasties. I recommend just strolling around the ancient street and experiencing the local life. Jinxi's landmark, Guliang Bridge, is a great place to take photos when the lotus flowers are in full bloom in summer. Chen Fei Water Tomb: Mysterious and romantic, located in the middle of the lake. You can look at it from the shore and learn about the moving legend of Chen Fei. Walk into Lianchi Zen Temple and let your soul find peace in the hustle and bustle of the world. Wenchang Pavilion: Climb up to the pavilion and overlook the whole town, with the water town scenery in full view. Special food: Try Aozao noodles, sock-bottom crisp, and begonia cake.
