Hundred Thousand Lamps at Hariphunchai Temple, Queen Chamadevi

The Hundred Thousand Lanterns Festival is held annually at Wat Phra That Hariphunchai and the Queen Chamadevi Monument. It is held to pay homage to Phra That Hariphunchai and to pay respect to Queen Chamadevi. Seeing colorful lanterns is a tradition that has been practiced for a long time. There are 2 places to hang lanterns: at Phra That Hariphunchai and at Queen Chamadevi Square. Those who want to hang lanterns can come all day long, but it is recommended to come after 6 pm because the lanterns are very beautiful and the sun is not hot. Each lantern costs 99 baht. You can choose the color you like, but we chose the color according to your birth date. Then write a wish on the lantern to bring good luck to your life. There will be sticks for us to choose to hang. Then go to Queen Chamadevi Square. There are beautiful lanterns decorated in various shapes. There are quite a lot of people and many shops selling things.
