🙏🛕🛕Wat Phra Thaen Sila Asan, Tung Yang Subdistrict, Laplae District, Uttaradit Province Originally named Wat Mahathat, it is an ancient temple. It appears in the Royal Chronicles during the reign of King Borommakot. He came to pay homage to Phra Thaen Sila Asan in 2283 BE, indicating that Phra Thaen Sila Asan had existed before this. It is widely revered by people. In 2451 BE, a forest fire destroyed the pavilion and the temple, leaving only the laterite platform. King Rama V ordered its renovation. The doors of Phra Thaen Sila Asan temple, which used to be carved wood, were once doors of Phra Buddha Chinnarat temple at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan in Phitsanulok Province. Phra Thaen Sila Asan is a rectangular laterite. The base of the throne is decorated with lotus petal patterns. Legend has it that the Buddha, when he was a Bodhisattva, once came to this place to practice the precepts and cultivate the Buddha's virtues. Later, the stone throne was built and the annual ceremony to worship the stone throne is held, which is considered a major event at the provincial and national levels. ------
