The Unexpected Beauty of Lindau, a German Border Town

After leaving Liechtenstein, I checked in to Lindau, a small German border town. I strolled around this "island" in the morning and found it surprisingly beautiful. ​ Liechtenstein became known as the "Stamp Country" mainly because in ancient times, they acted as messengers, delivering mail between Milan and Lindau. ​ Lindau is located on the northwest corner of Lake Constance. Walking south from the train station, you can see the large lion statue and lighthouse on the lake. The surrounding countryside is also incredibly beautiful.
