Wat San Paolo Observatory, Lopburi

King Narai ordered the construction of the Wat San Paolo Observatory, along with a church and accommodation, for the use of 12 Jesuit mathematicians whom he requested from France. He also visited the construction site himself and supported the astronomical equipment in the observatory. The observatory was the first astronomical observation tower in Siam. It is an octagonal tower. In addition, there are resting houses and the foundation of a building, which is believed to be a Western church but was not completed.
