Macau Hong Kong 🇭🇰

This little trip to Macau + Hong Kong is not a liver-busting itinerary, nor a marathon of check-in lists, but a little adventure of "slowly getting along with yourself and the city". ⸻ 📍Day 1: Macau ・Familiar strangeness As soon as we got off the plane, we took a boat and headed straight to Macau. Although I have been here several times, I was still attracted by the atmosphere of the old European style and the intertwined light and shadow of the casino. Walking very slowly in Taipa Old Street, eating Portuguese tarts while watching the faded signs of passing shops, a little mottled, a little romantic. The Macau Tower at night was bright in the distance. I stood by the hotel window and looked at it for a long time, as if to me, "You are back." ⸻ 📍Day 2: Slow Travel vs Shiny In the morning, I went to Ruins of St. Paul's. There were many tourists, but I was still struck by the aura of the ruined wall. In the afternoon, I hid in a quiet coffee shop, a cup of hand-brewed + a book, and sat like this for two hours. At night, come to a different rhythm - went to Wynn to see the water dance show, the atmosphere was just right romantic. I think Macau is like this, with the slow tone of the old city on one side and the luxurious flash on the other, it is not inconsistent in any way. ⸻ 📍Day 3: Change City・Hong Kong Hello The weather was just right when we returned to Hong Kong by boat. The first stop is Central, the never-ending neighborhood. I had the roast goose rice that I have missed for a long time for lunch. The crust is so crispy that my soul shines. In the evening, I went for a walk by the seaside in Tsim Sha Tsui. I was enjoying the sea breeze and watching the lights of Sky Star Pier on the other side light up one by one. I felt an indescribable feeling. Hong Kong, is a place that can be very noisy or very quiet, it depends on how you choose. ⸻ 📍Day 4: Calm down・but don’t rush to come back to your senses On the last day, we slept until we woke up naturally. We chose a cha chaan teng for breakfast, which ended with hot milk tea + egg tart. On the way home by plane, the streets, human voices, neon lights, and sea breeze were still flashing in my mind. It wasn’t a fantastic itinerary, but I enjoyed it. It's a "I really walked into this city" realism, not exaggerated, very life. ⸻ ✍️ Postscript: Thank you for being willing to step out of your routine, live well, experience well, walk well. Macau and Hong Kong, two cities with completely different styles, unexpectedly matched each other during this trip. I hope that next time I come back, it will be with the person I like, and maybe I will see a different scenery.
