Next, I wandered through Plaza Mayor, where I soaked in the lively atmosphere and enjoyed a bocadillo de calamares. A short walk away, Puerta del Sol buzzed with energy—street performers, locals, and tourists gathering around the famous bear statue. I ended my day at the Prado Museum, admiring masterpieces by Velázquez and Goya. Unfortunately, no photos are allowed inside, so I had to rely on memory to capture the beauty of the paintings. For solo travelers, Madrid is perfect—walkable, safe, and full of history. My tip? Get a museum pass to skip long lines and take advantage of Madrid’s late dining culture to enjoy tapas at your own pace!
